הרפואה האבחונית מחולקת לשניים:
· רפואה אבחונית אנטומית – U.S, C.T, M.R.I
· רפואה אבחונית תפקודית - גרעינית.
הרפואה האבחונית האנטומית מציגה תמונה כאשר מתרחש שינוי אנטומי במבנה האיבר, בשלביו המתקדמים של התהליך, במקרה של תהליך סרטני.
לעומת זאת, ברפואה האבחונית-תפקודית, ישנה אפשרות לזהות תהליכים מטבוליים עוד בטרם השינויים האנטומיים. העובדה, כי האבחון מתבצע בשלביו הראשונים של התהליך, בהם ניתן, בטרם התערבות כירורגית להסתייע בהתערבות תרופתית, מהווה את יתרונה על פני זו האבחונית-אנטומית.
הרפואה הגרעינית מחולקת לשניים:
1). רפואה גרעינית קונבנציונאלית -Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography .
2). רפואה גרעינית בטכנולוגיה מתקדמת – P.E.T .

יתרונות ה- P.E.T לעומת ה- S.P.E.C.T הם:
· בטכנולוגית ה- P.E.T היסודות הינם יסודות אורגאניים. על כן, קל לקשור אותם למולקולות פיזיולוגיות ולכן הגוף מקבלם ללא תופעות לוואי.
· טכנולוגית ה-P.E.T אינה מצריכה כמות גדולה של חומר רדיו-אקטיבי מכיוון שאין צורך במסנני הנחתה.
· הרזולוציה, ככל שהיא גבוהה יותר, כך ניתן לזהות את התהליכים המטבוליים בשלבים יותר מתקדמים.
ברפואה הגרעינית, על מנת לאבחן כל איבר בנפרד, ישנו צורך בנשא סלקטיבי אל איבר המטרה אשר אליו מחובר חומר רדיו-אקטיבי הממפה את תפקודו של האיבר הנבדק.
במקרה הספציפי שלנו, קבוצת החומרים Amine Crboxyboranהוכחו כחומרים בעלי פעילות ביולוגית ופרמקולוגית כחומרים:
1). אנטי-סרטניים
2). אנטי-דלקתיים.
3). היפוליפדמי (שומנים בדם).
4). אנטי-פטרייתיים.
בחרנו בחומרים הללו על מנת להבחין וללמוד על הפעילות הפרמקולוגית שלהם על ידי חיבורם לאיזוטופ רדיו-אקטיבי ובכך ניתן לעקוב אחר הפעילות הפרמקודינמית (דינאמיקה של התרופה).מכיוון שהחומרים הללו מאופיינים בפעילות פרמקולוגית אנטי-סרטנית סלקטיבית לסרטן המעי הגס (colon), קיימת האפשרות לבצע בדיקה לא פולשנית המאפשרת זיהוי מוקדם, עוד בתהליכים המטבוליים, בטרם השינוי האנטומי, ובכך לאפשר תגובה תרופתית והימנעות מבדיקה פולשנית, כגון, ניתוח כירורגי.

General description of the subject:

The diagnosis medicine divides to two sections:
· Anatomic diagnosis medicine – U.S, C.T, M.R.I.
· Functional diagnosis medicine - Nuclear.
The Anatomic diagnosis medicine presents a picture when there is a change in the anatomic structural of the organ in the advanced stages of the process, in the case of cancer process.
On the other hand, in the Functional diagnosis medicine, there is a possibility to distinguish metabolic processes even before the anatomic changes.
The fact that the diagnosis performed even in the primary stages of the process, in which allows, before any surgical treatment interference, to assist in medicine interference, presents an advantage of the Anatomic diagnosis medicine.

The nuclear medicine divides to two sections:
· Conventional nuclear medicine - Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography.
· High-tech nuclear medicine - Positron Emission Tomography.

The advantages of the - P.E.T in contrast with S.P.E.C.T:
· In the P.E.T technology, the foundations are organics. So they are easy to be bond to physiological molecules, therefore the body accept them without side effects.
· The P.E.T technology does not consume big quantity of radioactive material because there is no need in application filters.
· The resolution, as much as it higher, the metabolic processes are easier to be distinguishing in the earlier stages.
In the nuclear medicine, in order to diagnose each organ separately, there is necessity in a selective carrier toward the intended organ which being connecting with radio active material that mapping the functioning of the examine organ.
In our specific case, the materials group – Amine Crboxyboran have proved as a materials with biological and pharmacological activity as a materials:
1. Anti - cancer.
2. Anti – inflammatory.
3. Hypo lipid.
4. Anti – mold.
We chose these materials, in order to diagnose and to study about there
pharmacological activity by connecting them to radioactive isotope.
Thus, we follow the pharmacological activity.
Because these materials characterized with selective anti cancer

pharmacological activity to the colon cancer, there is a possibility to perform a non-invasive examine that enables an early diagnosis even in the metabolic processes, before any anatomic change. Thus allows medical reaction and avoidance from invasive treatment such as surgical treatment.

Goals of the project:

In order to execute this synthesis, we’ll plan and produce an automatic mechanical system that fits to our needs in order that the planning and the producing will fit to the standards of a work with radioactive materials and a high cleaning level of G.M.P (class 100).
